Valve amp Tech in Sydney - Recommendations?

Can anyone recommend a good amp tech in Sydney?

I'm acquiring an old guitar amp from the US with a 2 prong cord (ungrounded) and i'd like to get it converted to a 3 prong cord.
It's been used up until now with a step down transformer but is it best to just get a new transformer so it is all set for australian 230v?

Thanks for any help, I'm not familiar with using 'foreign' amps.

Not in Sydney but if you're willing to go further south I recommend Andrew Kay.

You could also talk to Glen Lambert, who is based in southern sydney. Old vox and rics are his specialty, but should be able to work on anything valve. Saw him very swiftly get a mates brand new amp working after it left the US boutique factory miswired.

Contact thru his website : http://members.optusnet.com.au/~glen325/index.html

Cheers

So glad to see Owen servicing gear. He tamed my Ampex MM1200 for 8 years, I'll have to get him over to give it another tweak when I put it back into use.

Thanks a lot for all the suggestions,Turtlerock rules!
I'm picking the amp up tonight - it's an old Sunn Solarus.

I'm a newb here but i'd thought I'd make it known that I'm also a big fan of the Iced VoVo's.

There is also Peter Reynolds of reynold-valveart fame. He is out in Windsor though, but
his work is second to none.

Rick Taylor is pretty good and quite reasonable. He just talks alot...

PM if you want his number, I don't think he has a mobile and is pretty much based at 301 so you could probably call him there.
