I acquired one of these DBX 168A Studio Dynamics Processor with a box of assorted jibbs and jabbs and cant find any info on them?
It doesn't seem like anyone uses them now, even though it is said that they were costly in their day.
Thanks
Dale

Never used one, but its basically a 2 channel compressor, with an additional sidechain for de-essing. Those who have one seem to like it, those that don't, don't seem to lose any sleep over not owning one.

Drive roughly equates to threshold, Density means ratio and Gain Hold means makeup gain, or output. De-ess is a single control, like how much of it do you want. Its supposed to be program content sensitive and quite good for one knob.

US ebay has a couple going for $1 at the moment if you want to add to your collection.
