Coloursound Grand Opening

Hi folks.
Just wanted to let people know that after over a year of knocking down walls and building ....other walls (and participating in various other renovation activities such as getting heaps of dust in eyes, loosing fingernails, spraining wrists, .....did I mention dust?!) .... my studio is officially opening this Saturday.

Its been a long hard slog to fit in earning a living, family, beer,....and building the place. But thanks to a lot of good people willing to give their valuable time and resources to the build, there is now a ....small...but very functional studio in the west of Melbourne.

Any Melbourne Trockers are welcome to pop in for a look, chat, snag...etc. Doors will be open from 12, and will be open till late.

I hope some of you can make it down.

Address is : 58 Pier St Altona, 3018.

Cheers.

Hi Mat,

Congrats...great looking studio.
Thankfully the building program just becomes a distant memory after a while !
Love the outboard rack. (BTW What is the console ?)

Cheers

Thanks John,
I hope so...I just spent the last year with sawdust down my back....that is something any normal person shouldn't have to go through.
Console is my trusty old Soundworkshop 34c. I was going to bring in a Quad Eight from O/S but the deal got sus so I passed on it.

Had a few sessions in now and so far results have been very good.

Yeah but I'm a family man so I have to prioritize. Beer would be first.

Thanks everyone for the support.
Andy, after searching the globe for the finest timbers
Available, I opted to just lift the 50 year old carpet and
Use what was there. Haha!

Todd, pop in when ever suits.

Yeah I have the perfect thing for ya. She's stuff in the back so you cant see her in the pic, but you can have my mother inlaw....she makes for one hell of a good boat anchor.

So I guess I should spill the beans and tell that Pickstone Audio Engineering are Mat's neighbours. We were hoping to be moved in and ready for Mat's grand opening but due to things out of our control you'll be able to look in the window and imagine our workshop. Go Mat and co!

Very tidy work Mat, it looks sensational. I'd join you for that bbq if I wasn't in Geelong.... *shudders *

It's inspiring (to anyone) to see something materialise thanks to all the work and perseverance of a man on a mission ;)

Cheers!

Dave
