Looking for a production space

Postby jay_f » Wed Mar 02, 2011 10:51 am

Hey folks

Just thought it would be wise to check in here before I go all beserk building one.... Does anyone in the Sydney metro area have a room suitable for a production / mixing suite that they would like to lease / share / trade for iced vovo's ? Separate space for recording / overdubbing would be an added bonus, but not essential. I am open to considering pretty much anything. So if you have a space that may suit please feel free to send me a PM

And depending on what you are looking for my space my be a help..
Its not for lease full time, but a couple of engineers/ producers use it as their "home" studio. i do weekly/ longer term rates. you get the keys, with no un-needed extras (like receptionists etc) and treat it as yours for the time..
its a pretty small group of guys who use it, and works well for them.
let me know if that could suit you.

if not - i also know that 301 are looking to lease an extra space at the moment (but are looking for REAL money for it)

Sorted ! Thanks to all the helpful folk who provided some input. Gareth thanks for your offer too. I needed to find somewhere to park my gear full time. But what you were talking of sounds like it could work out pretty awesome for tracking jobs. So I hope to speak to you about that in the future.

So I have taken the space at level 7. Over the next week or so I will be setting it up, sorting out parking etc. The catch 22 for me is that while I definitely need the space, I am also already committed to a bunch of ongoing projects outside of this. Realistically this means that I will be looking for someone to share the space with. So if you have a need for a comfy & capable studio for mixing, overdubbing etc that is centrally located ,within a professional environment. Whether its just for a couple of days a month, or half the week, every week. Please get in touch for some more details. I would be happy if we can work something out so that it is not just there for my benefit.
