As you'd expect, Gunter Wagner is a Telefunken guru. Give him a call. As I recall, some of the telefunkens are very fussy about power voltages, and G may be able to help out here as well.

Once I get 'em done ... maybe Rick can loan me his V276's to compare with ... since I;m a 276 virgin :))

HI, I had a V372D. That's two 372 amps in one Eurocard slot, not to be confused with the 372DS or 372S which was a stereo unit. The transformers aren't cr@p, but they aren't as good as most would hope. They have come in a few varieties of transformers and the od one with IC's I believe. Mine were all transformer based. They had 42db gain which could be made variable by adding a pot across 2 terminals. I actually didn't mind what they did to bass as a pre, had something interesting in the upper mids, but I found the gain to be too low for my liking. I got rid of them a while back, but to be fair I'm no electronics guru and mayber there was a better way to set them up.
Have a look at Oliver Archut's forum over at www.prosoundweb.com
Cheers.
