Hey Guys,

Anyone here know anything about player piano systems? I'm trying to find a decent system to retrofit to an old Braodwood studio grand, but preferably I'd like to be able to link it to a laptop via midi or USB so that I can send it control change messages in real time... any thoughts?

Cheers!!
Eve

type in "midi player piano"
and you get stuff like this:

the "invisible piano player" concept is pretty old, and there are a few retrofit acoustic piano solutions around, would be a few grand to set up.

My piano tech Richard Andreoni is the Piano Disc guy here in Australia.

I spent some time with him on it getting it to work with Logic and it worked a treat, he has a system at his place on his Baldwin SF10.

One day when I get the dough I'll fit a system.
