I would like to say I thought integrate was pretty cool this year. Listening to Geoff Emerick and Richard Lush speak about their experiences, along with the usual Audio Technology suspects, was awesome. Well done to the organisers.

I have only been to this one.

And would have gladly paid a hefty fee for the Mastering forum i watched this afternoon.
All Tech talk aside, i thoroughly enjoyed the interesting dynamic between the Fab 5.

The stage was..
Eclectic eccentric to Gruff and tough, superstar ambassador to grassroots guru (mentor to us too)
and lastly the well healed vintage of experience, classic and time..

In short, 5 very good examples of the term.. Professional.

And as casual as it all seemed today,

All words/story's and tech talk, were borne from a weight of experience.

Very much appreciated. I Look forward to the next one.

P:S I'll bring all the food and drink to the next Turtlerockers BBQ if Rick can swing
the rest of the Fab 5 to join us ;)

For me the AT forum was the best thing at the show - the mastering forum and the talk by Mr Emerick and Mr Lush were both excellent and (imo) could have gone on much longer.

I would have liked to see more vendors there - no Avid or Steinberg that I could find.... no Neve or any of the "big" names .... no Apple or Microsoft - surely they have a stake in this industry.... perhaps they just leave it to the importers in our "backwater"

I agree that they've got the AT World part nailed but even though it did feel a little lite on the studio gear stalls I was too busy watching all the cool seminars to go and check anything else out.
I thought it was surprising that the speaker and mic's in the echo chamber at Abbey Road were set up and left as they spoke alot about experimentation. From what I've gathered (but cant remember where from), the echo chamber at capital has three microphones set at different distances for short, medium and long verb while Geoff said he would just delay the signal to achieve the desired space.

slumped in the lounge at Sydney airport waiting for my flight to wing me back home to Adelaide, I'd just like to say thanks to all the T-Rockers who came up and said hello during the show. So much more than the gear, it is the opportunity to meet fellow members of the "team" that is the enduring experience.

Yes that's true Rob it was nice to meet you. I will definitely be sending you my gear in the future. Maybe next year we should organise a TR gathering at the pub across the road? :ymparty:

Even though I only caught the last half hour of Geoff and Richards session, which was extremely interesting, much credit should also go to Rick through his questioning, extratcted lots of interesting stories and info. These things are only as good as the interaction from the audience. Cheers Rick. :-bd

I don't suppose any of these sessions will be available on DVD in the future for us out of towners, will they?

I had a good time on the thursday morning at the Geoff Emmerick masterclass.
After that I found myself in a tech sandwich in-between Rob and Joe. We are very lucky to have those guys in our proximity.

Thanks to the organisers.

I was glad I attended each day for lunch and some.

Being an avid reader of AT from its inception, it was great to put some faces to the names of those who to me are held dear and part of my life's journey; imparting their hard won knowledge and experience in articles and to be in their presence at Integrate is an honour and a thrill!

I wished I could of attended the ticketed seminars but alas I have a daughter getting married soon.

All the AT team are to be commended for enriching the experience at Integrate! Very Well Done Guys!

Thank you to you!
