anyone have experience with Digigram soundcards?
have been eyeballing their AES PCIe cards...just wondering what people's thoughts were.

Jamil, these are very good , reliable cards. The earlier ones will only do up to 48KHz sample rate however.
We have many of these in service in on air playback systems and there are thousands in use by radio stations around Australia . They are not cheap, but you get what you pay for. Bulletproof reliability for 24/7 use.
I have some spare PCX 821 2 in / 8 Out AES cards if you're after one

Checkout the digigram site, manuals and drivers are all available to download.

those spares you have alistair? would they work in a new computer's motherboard?? if so...very very interested, even if its just temporary.

Think the cards Alister has are PCI, so depends if you have any PCI slots in your mobo. Also looks like they are quite old, you would need to make sure that there are 64bit digigram drivers for that card if you are planning to use on 64bit.

Other consideration you may want to keep in mind is the performance/latency. Seems like the cards are used for radio, so they may be a priority of reliability/stability over latency (buffer size), which if you are planing to use for music production with soft synths or monitoring live FX may cause you some issues.

Yes The ones I have are PCI.
Digigram cards are highly configurable. best thing to do is go through the selection process on the digigram website to find one that suits your needs then download the manual.They will have 64 bit drivers and low latency settings.
Send a message to them with your requirements and application and see what they recommend.
Digigram have been servicing the broadcast industry for long enough to get it right when it comes to a reliable high performance sound card, but you won't find them at your local music shop and they won't be cheap.

yeah i found their dealer in Melbourne, they sell 8 in out AES cards from $1500-3000 price range.
Good to know that they are indeed quality....
