So for all of you people who don't want to update to Lion, but want to maximise multigesture.

Use this tool. I have used it for over a year and can't imagine not using it.
Assigning multi finger gestures to keyboard commands - per APP - and FREE
I use with snow leopard.

i.e. Chrome
3 finger click = cmd + shift + click = open link in new tab.
3 finger downward swipe = cntrl + tab = move to next tab on right.

== fast web browsing

i.e. Cubase

4 finger click = function + f3 = view mixer/close mixer.
3 finger click = command + e = view channel.
