Anyone had any experience with these?

Looking for a way to increase HDD bandwidth on a 15" MacBook Pro
running a 002. If the client could utilise thier 800 drives this way, prob would be solved. Can't find any postings on DUC yet.
Just wondering if any of you guys have had any experience here.

well, you could get a 17" :P

I haven't got an expresscard/34 adapter yet for my macbook pro, but I'm planning on doing this as well. I used a firewire 800 PCMCIA card in my old powerbook and it was exceptional. I used to run my mini-DV camera into one of the firewire800's, my external HDD in the other, and my audio interface in the built-in firewire400 slot... seamless.

Let me know where you're getting your expresscard34 adapter from, I'll probably do the same thing in a week or so.

Dave.

Not my Laptop, but a clients :-)

But I am interested for myself anyway.

A 15" 1.83 MBP with a 7200 seems pretty good value
compared to the 17".

We got a heap of the adapters in today for work, $110.00
