cubase 6 users with Native instruments Komplete...

Hi guys,

Anyone on Windows 7, running NI Komplete 7 in Cubase 6 have problems with NI Massive and Reaktor GUIs freezing on use?? i cant remember if i posted this here or another forum....forgive me!

Have been having some issues with C6 and NI Komplete 6 plugs on XP. From what I recall the GUI just ceases to respond. I was thinking it to be ram related, but not so sure now. How often is it happening to you? What sort of plug in count?

Seems that freezing helps in some cases.

nope, the problem is that on an empty session, both reaktor and massive freeze. There's no memory issue at all that i know of. i have 12GB of RAM....which is all showing up in windows 7. There is nothing in the session but the instrument track with the nI plugin on it...

no responses from NI or Cubase about this problem....

im very pissed off about it.

have not previously had this problem on XP as well. albeit on a different verison of cubase.

and yes, i have original copies of both Cubase and NI komplete.

Are you running 32 or 64bit cubase? Are the NI plugs the same or are you relying on the bridge tech in 64bit cubase?

Might be worth trying out the alternate version of cubase and matching NI, although you loose access to lots of ram if you go to 32bit.

What sort of MOBO/CPU/Chipset?

You might want to ask over at the cubendo forums if there is nothing on the official ones.

i dont have those stats on me at work, however i see no reason why every program from NI from that same package would work except Massive and Reaktor, makes no sense. FM8, kontakt, etc all work fine.

im pretty sure the NI stuff is 64 bit as well...could be wrong.

Agree, just thinking of things that might be causing an issue.

Make sure everything is up to date version wise.

You could also try with something like reaper(64bit). If Masive/Reaktor work OK then log Cubase issue, if they dont then NI.

yeah, was going to give reaper or fruity loops a go tomorrow night.

I have used both Massive and Reaktor in standalone mode, and they are fine..once again, cubase forum is not responding to the question...seems to be alot of issues with version 6
