Sounds that freak your animals out

I have 2 kelpies - normally they're very good - things like an ambulance siren or car alarm upset them a bit, but....

on Saturday I was sitting with my dogs - they were content and happy until I turned on my Boss DB-30 electronic metronome. Man, the red dog just bolted - gone like a shot. The black dog started to shake and almost convulse in fear. All the metro- does is a 440Hz bip bip bip, but something in that sound is terrible to my dawgs......

Thanks for that link Jamil - it appears to be pretty common. I'd forgotten the smoke detector that they mentioned - that makes my 2 dogs bark and act territorial too.
