Ebay purchasing

Yo Guys,

So I want to contact a seller on Ebay.com, but I can't , Ebay won't allow it....

This is the message I get when I hit the contact seller feature :

"We're sorry we couldn't find an answer for you. Unfortunately, this seller is not able to respond to your question. We suggest reviewing the item again to see if your answer is in the seller's listing"

Now, this seller is located in the USA and only ships to the USA.I am thinking that because I have an ebay.com.au registered Ebay account, this prevents me from contacting the seller because he only ships to the USA??

Can anyone chime in on this?

Mike

I have encountered that before and I think it might be an option in the sellers settings. I would guess he's not interested in international enquiries.

I have an US Ebay account through my son who is living in San Francisco. So if you want me to ask a question for you, I can. I am in San Francisco right now and NY next week. I think you have my email.

Must be a user option, I've bought things from sellers in the US from eBay and have been able to contact them.

If the seller has restricted his sale to "United States Only" then you won't be able to contact them through eBay. (Conversely if they've said "worldwide" you will be able to.)

I think this is often the main issue. If you go to your account settings and change your primary address to a US address, that should allow you to make contact. Just make sure you have it shipped to the right place if you buy it!
