The day is to listen and compare guitar mics, learn more about guitar mics and micing up guitar cabinets and reamping in the Recording Studio.

We will have a BBQ as well.

We were thinking about having a basic drum/bass track, recording/reamp guitar (the guitarist will be here all day anyway). we can do clean, grit and heavy guitar then close, mid and far mics..

I can't do the 14th but the rest sound great to me. I probably don't have any mics that you don't already have out at Pony, but I've got a couple of rareish guitar amps?

excellent record keeping Damien!

I think this "event" you are planning is a great thing, there should be more of it. Nothing beats getting a bunch of like minded folk together with an array of tools to fiddle about with to compare ideas, expectations and results!

It won't be long now and Rick will be hosting a chisel shootout.
