but i can listen to a gentle man talk about the process of making records all day

.... its as it should be
no sign of stress or angst about the obvious set of crap he had to walk through

No BS, no jargon, just easily understood explanations of what was being done and why. That is so invigorating, make you want to get into the studio an work.
