I know there's not a lot of love for Guitar Multi FX as opposed to individual stomp boxes, but can anyone suggest a good one in the lower price bracket (with pedal).

Can't go wrong with a secondhand Boss GT3 or similar. Even the ME stuff is pretty decent.

I enjoyed the TC Nova I had for a while... great sound, analog drive section, good delays. excellent overall.

I had a Boss ME-5... it was really good. I used (and still own it, somewhere... 8) ) a boss GT-5 for over a 1000 gigs in the nineties, playing in duo's trio's. Eventually one of the output jacks wore out, so I cracked it open and pinched one from the effect send and replaced it... still works to this day.

Boss stuff , at least the older gear and the pedals, is extremely reliable.

in fact, i still have the boss tuner TU-12 going to gigs with me... I must have bought that over 22 years ago.. who could whinge about that... 8)

I loved my GT-5 all those years ago, especially the somewhat hidden LFO for modulation trickery.

I never really got along with my Line 6 multi-FX, and they sit gathering dust in the cupboard.

For me now, it's usually just the valve amp and the guitar, but when I'm in an FX mood it's one cool distortion box (currently an Empress Multidrive), into a Strymon Timeline (amazing, and covers a lot of bases), followed by a Strymon Blue Sky reverb (also amazing).

But there's no rules, and e-bay is your friend.
