Best audio interface choice ?

I need a minimum 10 analog inputs with ability to set up 2 headphone mixes with reverb (sometimes).
RME UFX seems great but then I noticed the RME Babyface ... 10 ins (same Total Mix). I'd have to also get a Adat in unit (any suggestions ) to get all the ins but would still be cheaper I think.

Any suggestions would be most welcome as there is so much choice.

Adadt limited to 48K for 8 channels, at 96 you only get 4 channels.
Might not matter to you now. Might matter later?
How much is babyface? A good adat will cost at least a grand. No bayrinjer...

Look at the RME UCX - it sits in the middle of those two. It's got 18 ins and has the UFX converters.

I've just gone down to 8in/out (Apogee) from 12in/out MOTU HD 192, so the 192 will have to be sold (along with its PCI 424 card).
I used it for monitoring through software (Cubase) with effects when needed (reverb mostly) and didn't have issues with latency or anything like that.

I use an Echo Audiofire12. 12 in/out line levels. No preamps, just an on button! Works up to 192KHz if you need that too.

One of the plus features of the UFX (besides the comprehensive Totalmix software) is the backup recording facility included. Used it on a 3-day recording last weekend, worked seamlessly, no errors, 38 multitrack files. And it works stand-alone if the computer goes down. Both USB and Firewire is also a plus.
