Hey peace be upon you too Mark. I appreciate the sentiment but I hardly think it's worth starting a whole thread!?

I was there for a week in May,
The worlds fastest roller coaster is in abu dharbi, at ferrari world which is only 1-2 hours away by bus.
an if you real like adventure I suggest a desert safari. you get in a brand new 4wd, go into the sand dunes, try an then try an roll it. then they take you to a campsite an its a good afternoon of local entertainment, an food.
In the gold souk's have your wits about you. I had a a spruiker ask me if I wanted to by a Ipad, he then went into the shop he was standing in front of told me a price I said no. Then he asks if I want a cheap imitation watch, "its just round the corner follow me" it is round the corner down an alley up the stair an in a room with 5 dead bolts.
Its a quirky place, I dont know how I feel about it to be honest. The segregation threw me a little, as did machine guns in railway stations, but overall loverly people! an a real eye opener.
I would be interested to compare your experiences to mine though.
