If anyone is looking for a larger console I just spotted a 40 channel Verona on Gumtree for $9500.00 in session case.

I've been talking with Norwest Prod. about the Venice 320 that they're selling on gumtree.
I've never used that console but I've been doing some research and it all looks pretty good for my purpose.
Is there anything that anyone can point out about the 320 that I should be worried about? Anyone use this console before and have anything to add about it's performance?

Sorry Rick, not the one posted by Steve, the smaller 32 (320) channel for $2500.
But now that you mention it...

I'm thinking of this console as a live recording front end with some other pre's I've collected.

no no no the one i am thinking of is SO not a live desk and nothing like the price your talking..

but if you want a near new( well ish ) large analog recording and mixing console that there is NO way you could lift by yourself EVER and you have a bit of a cheeky hide about how much you would pay ..
look on gumtree for something priced way way way above your budget .. and get back to us

christ arent you in some third world country hiding from the tempation of very very expensive 56 channel console too big to store any longer so its going to get sold as is where is .. if i can find a cheeky friend that wants it !

I'm sure if you were sitting here you'd be ogling the studers tape deck and EMT turntables that the litter the hallways of the national broadcaster (I certainly am) and thinking of what might be lurking behind the doors of the tech cupboards and doors that are solidly locked and covered in dust. Working on getting into them too but I'm still intrigued as to what it is lurking in australia...

All throughout the developing world there are radio stations set up in the early to mid 20th century by colonial powers that stopped being supported when said powers decided colonies weren't a great idea / too much like hard work. The really interesting stuff is probably in ex-soviet supported states...
