New years resolutions/ 2013 big issues
2013?
I generally dont like NY resolutions - but this year I am going to set some up, times call for it
Just wondering what you all are looking at as far as NY resolutions - not the simple ones - but the bigger ones for work / family / sustainability etc.
My ones would be:
#1 - dont borrow ANY money/ pay off stuff ASAP - stupid times to get into ANY debt
#2 - use much less electricity, eg: turn stuff off everything when not in use (especially in the studio) - start a DIY solar system, with the intention of expanding it over the years ahead
#3 - sell shit I dont use/need (before the value collapses even more) - stop purchasing gear, chasing the new stuff is a futile illusion that it improves my work.
#4 - live life more/work less/be a plus for my friends, family and colleagues
#5 - grow more food to eat/give away, learn from my previous mistakes / successes.
#6 - Avoid purchasing food or fuel from duopolies (Woolies and Coles) using shareholder returns continually rising as an excuse to rip off US - small business/farmers/shops - always support small independant shops & servo's
#7 - avoid all MSM and its pathetic lack of truth journalism, always read my news from Independant Australia (http://www.independentaustralia.net) and other great web/ news sources.
#8 - dont watch TV - at all
#9 - be very alert that climate change IS happening, my role in it, and how to reduce my contributing to future generational horrors - continue to call out all extreme liars peddling many untruths (Abbott/Murdoch/Jones)
#10 - be much more creative
#11 - be more pro active on issues that affect fairness in society/ the environment. Remember I am part of a big family of beings on this earth, and the protection of all species now and into the future is a moral obligation for being here.
Anyone else?
