I've been pounding the search function trying to find the thread, but alas...

Who did the project I *think* at the opera house where they tuned a signal generator or something into the room mode? I might be gripping at straws here... Would love to hear more about it, I'm studying at VCA and trying to incorporate room modes into a project I've got coming up. Any help would be appreciated!

One of the most famous room mode pieces is Alvin Lucier's "I am sitting in a room". Perhaps not what you were chasing, but worth checking out if you get a chance.

Lucier did a number of pieces based on signal generators and room modes specifically. They all have relatively descriptive names like piece for snare drum, oscillator and room or similar.

I've seen some of Luciers stuff, pretty cool. I swwwwear someone here did something in a big basement and tuned into the fundamental pitch of the room, under the opera house or something. Maybe 12-18 months ago?
