Does anyone use Tube Tech gear, if so what are there favourites pieces of gear?
Why are they so expensive and can that really be justified?

I used one of their 2LA2 things once.

I thought it was great!

I would get one at the right price

But what is the right price on Tube Tech gear?
Hey Peter hows the new year going?
I think this year might be a year of change for me. I think I need to do a new job. I am thinking of going to back to part time study while working and once again changing careers whilst trying to fit in a little music, a little family time and a lot more caravanning.
Cheers

My year blows.

Last year awesome. This year.... blows.

I have to go in for surgery on the 24th of this month.

I had to quit my band, I am really struggling with things like typing, and I cant play guitar for more than about 30secs.

I am going in for arthroscopic surgery, on my right shoulder.

I was supposed to be heading to the US in a couple of months for the trip of a lifetime.

Did I mention my year blows................ 8)

Oh Peter I am not sure what to reply to this...
Obviously I feel really bad for you and your situation. I cant believe how big health situations can impact our lifestyles and the every day decisions we make.
Wow.
So if your were to impart some wisdom to us "youngins" what would some of those words be?
Cheers

I used the CL 1A on vocals for a session about a month ago and loved it. Thinking about getting the CL 1B because you can't buy the 1A anymore...

The CL 1B sells for $3599 on Awave but you could probably get it down to around $3000, which is what I would expect to pay for a compressor of that quality!

I have a CL1B and use it when I want a smoother less aggressive (verses my usual ureis) vibe. It can be quite transparent if you want, hard to make it sound bad, usually vocals, bass cabs.

I don't find it especially "tubey" as compared to something like a vintage V72, but it does have a nice warmth.
