Audio Study Options?

Hey Brains trust. I've been asked by a friend who has a student/musician who is very keen to study audio preferably in Melbourne. Does anyone have any advice other than run for the hills and do accounting/MBA et al?

Looking for advice on courses that are available and quality of course, faculty, facilities etc?

Preferably a degree course outcome.

Thanks.

Hey Barney!

As a pure brain-spew, I kind of regret not doing a double-degree when I studied music. Degrees like music + law or music + computer science open up a lot of other employment avenues within the music industry.

Just a thought.

RMIT, I know some of the lecturers, they are working pros. Also a few options as opposed to straight stuido/live course.
Nice studio also.

Tell him to study Acoustics and Electronic Engineering...USYD/UNSW will look after you with those.
then maybe you can actually make money :-)
