Sound Devices is gone - but Lewis sells the same stuff now from Guitar Factory in Parramatta.

Michael Horner (who used to manage Sound Devices) is now the Apogee distributor I believe.

Great service too, it's nice to have local support. He even dropped around a cable that I needed ASAP.

Cheers

Ok well I was at guitar factory/ sound devices in parramatta yesterday .. lewis was there he said he sold the building in the city and cashed in .. life is to short etc .. seem to be a bunch of the usual sound devices stuff there .. and a zillion guitars and amps and lots of customers and lots of sales dudes .. I cant figure the MI market out
every body is complaining but there is just SO much brand new equipment out there .. it was kinda weird walking out of the little pro audio corner into the great big guitar shop .. but whatever .. they have moved .

Just want to give Michael Horn a rap. I have 3 ad-da 16x's that I bought from Sound Devices in 2007. They have always had dodgy switches. I made him aware but it was hugely inconvenient at the time to pull them out of the rack and send them back for repair.

He said to just get them to him next time I could. Now that I'm pulling apart my studio for the move I contacted him and he will replace them under warranty without question. He'll also flash the HD-X cards whilst there there to make them compatible with current avid interfaces.

I'm very impressed with this level of service nearly 6 years after purchase.
