MAC G4 1.2 or G5 1.8

Well maybe time to upgrade my Mac. I have a G4 dual 867 with old PT HD3 cards so a new G5 with the PCI-e slots will not work for me. So it's a used one, G4 dual 1.2 with 4 pci slots or G5 dual 1.8 with 3 pci slots. OK I only need 3 slots now but what if I need to run a UAD-1 card.
Hmmmmm
Is the G5 the way to go or are the UA plugin cards really worth having?

Given that the current UAD card is reaching it's limits. I can't remember which one it is, but there's at least one plugin that takes almost all the DSP by itself.

IIRC digi offer a PCIe -> PCI chassis which might be an option. Those MacPro's are NICE.

But Nic, the G5 has no lunchbox slots ;-)
