Quick Opinion on Patch Bays?

I'm tired of futzing around the back of my rack to plug things into my Symphony I/O, so it's time for a patch bay.

There doesn't seem to be too many good quality options down under. Any one know of any places to get decent ones in Australia?

Note that I'm really only looking for an audio pass through solution, not a full on patch solution. Really just bringing the Symphony connections to the front of the rack.

I'm DIY challenged, so making my own is out for now.

I'm looking at these two at the moment:

ART P16 Patch Bay
AUD 149

http://www.sounddevices.com.au/products ... Patch-Bay/

Network Sound Mamba XLR Patch Bay
http://www.networksound.com/index.php/p ... /pbays/xlr
USD 199 + shipping

Probably leaning towards the Mamba, but happy to hear t'rockers opinions.

I'm using DBX PB 48, which are very much project studio level, but have been 100% fine for me so far in two years of use.

I have a Samson one. It can switch direct, half normalled and normalled for each pair from the front...which is great

I have 2 patch bays. Both 1/4" one on dusb at the back and one on 1/4" at the back. Both cheapish ones - nothing special. and 1/4" is cheaper and easier to build leads for..
Got em both cheap second hand - worth considering how many and type of cables you will need to get made up and comparing the costs benefits of either termination method...

I have one of the Mambas - excellent quality and versatile with the combo sockets on the front.

I have a a quick opinion on patchbays… get one, then treat it as a consumable that will need to be replaced eventually.

Thanks all. Mamba wins by a nose.
