Hi brains trust, I need some advice on short run vinyl... I've a few projects looking for LP and Split 7" products looking at around 100-200 units per product with artwork. Who should I be looking at? I've heard conflicting reports on zenith and am wondering what options there are... Thoughts?

Hey Myles, last time I looked at this I discovered that Implant are doing vinyl now (pressing in France or Germany I think). I recall a 300-unit minimum but that may have changed.

Hi Myles, my band The Pink Tiles have a 12" LP getting pressed by Pirate Press as we speak. 250 is the minimum run. They do printing, inserts, download cards etc too.
Even with shipping, the price was competitive. The fact that they are a one stop shop makes it very easy.
We will be getting test pressings.
Pressings I have heard from them before all sounded good.
I would prefer to go local, but what can you do when the economics and quality don't stack up in favour of doing that?
Cheers,
Paul

Zenith in Melbourne do small runs, can't comment on the quality though, haven't heard anything.

If you're feeling like it's emotionally/nostalgically worth it.. an artist I work with has just pressed 200 copies at United Record Pressing in Nashville.
http://www.urpressing.com/history.phpHe's there a few times a year so was able to bring them back to oz on a return flight.
Not to take anything away from the local market though.
