Now - How long until we see an interface to let you use it with a midi guitar pickup -

Wireless Midi Guitar :-)

I bet that is how edge got that cool orchestral pad sound in the intro to "where the streets have no name" in that interview with his guitar tech.

The CME company make a midi plug to usb key, surely someone could adapt it. I think it's possible but I'm useless with cables. The cleverest I ever got was using an XLR mic lead to extend a midi cable about 40 metres. Worked a treat.

The biggest problem I can see is all the Guitar - Midi converters are desingned to plug directly into the pickup directly - i.e. propietry cable.

Two possible soloutions,

a) Somebody develops a portable battery power Guitar-> midi converter that could be directly on the guitar.

b) Someone works how to split the individual string down multiple midi channels - thus allowing it to be processed at the receiving end directly as if the pickup was plugged straight in.

I personally am intrigued by the possibily of playing a guitar directly into Sculpture in Logic Pro, in paralell with my "regular" sound live
