Indeed. What it should have said was " Goodbye to a convenient local source of tape".

Guys I'm acquainted with o/seas have been trying unsuccessfully to get info out of ATR, however RMGI is apparently readily available........ you may find something interesting in this thread........ http://www.homerecording.com/bbs/showth ... p?t=228803

Last time I checked there wasn't a local supplier BUT that doesn't meant we won't get one or that we can't import ourselves.

Last time I communicated with Carl at ATR (admittedly 8-10 months ago) they had their distributor here sorted (for when it's available obviously).

rmgi are finalizing distribution at the moment (although this has been going on for months too).Orders can be placed direct to Gilbert Van Leeuwen at the moment.

"It is going to be a new organization. Because of this it takes some time to get through Australian legislations" is what I was told.

Maybe I'm wrong but ATR just seems like a fairy tale
the very day Quantegy shut down the first time I got a newsletter from stating their tape is on the way. This time round I got exactly the same message. Now considering that they sell Tape Hardware I'm suspicous.

RMGI has now appointed Musiclab as the distributor for its products in Australia and New Zealand. The first shipment of stock has now arrived - mostly SM900 and SM911, with a small amount of SM468 and LPR35.

Details of all products currently available in stock in Australia are listed at http://www.rmgi.com.au.
