Omni Mic Options

Hi All,

I am spending some time in liverpool Childrens Hospital (UK) this year and part of what I will be doing is some field recordings in the Intensive Care Unit.

I am thinking of buying a pair of omni's for this (as one part of the kit).

I spoke to BeesNeez and they can make their Lulu Fet's omni for me.

I am wondering if this is the best choice and wonder if anyone has any other thoughts of omnis at around this level/cost?

Vic

you can usually pick up KM83 at good prices (less than 84) cause they are a bit less desirable..

The BeesNeez Lulu's are pretty well priced at $1148 for a pair.

Little Blondies are nice (and cheap!) but have a bit too much self noise for quiet things. I'd be a little wary using them for field recordings.

These mini omni's are so cheap it' almost hurts.
I've had a pair for a few years, currently hung from a venue ceiling for crowd mics.
