Microphone and lead with no metal parts

I thought I might throw this brain teaser out there.
I am heading off the the UK to do some work at Alder Hey Childrens Hospital (Liverpool).
Part of the work I will be doing involves working with kids who have newly been diagnosed with various neurological disorders. They are having major problems with the trauma associated with regular MRI scans that the kids have to have after being diagnosed.
One of the things I have been asked to develop over several visits over the next year and a half, is a process of trauma reduction with these kids. One of these things might involve a series of explorations on the MRI scanner with Contact Microphones, creating compositions/recordings etc.
But, my main problem is, MRI scanners are hugely magnetic, so I am wondering is it at all possible to design contact microphones (or standard mic's) and leads that contain only non ferrous materials.
Does anyone out there have any thoughts on the possibility of this?
