I was saddened to hear this morning that Chris Squire, bass player of English Prog Rock band 'Yes' died overnight our time

He was a great bassist with a truly unique sound, I was lucky enough to see him and Yes just last December, after waiting 40 years to do so.

Chris Squire and Jack Bruce, not a good year for groundbreaking bass players.
Reminds me that we are all here for just a short time, our musical heroes included.

Roundabout was absolutely groundbreaking - sound and execution up there with the best ever IMO.
He sold a lot of basses for Rickenbacker and a lot of strings for Rotosound.
