LA Audio

Hey folks,

Just wandering if any of you out there had ever dealt with any LA Audio gear?

There was an LA Audio Classic Compressor II sitting at work not getting used so I took it home to have a little play. Sounded quite nice compressing the bass and vox going into my DAW, a bit wooly on the kick though. I only managed to find adverts on my www search, no user reviews as such. The hype claims it to emulate 1176/LA2A type compressors. I wouldnt be able to compare the two since I've not much experience with high end outboard.

Any experiences?

Cheers,

Jase

Straight to the point!

Oh well, I cant complain as it was free... and it's a big step up from the shitty DBX compressor I've been using

Yeah we have a couple of those at work too... we use them with a U87 for voice overs. Classic Channels I think they are called.
