OK this might seem a bit trivial, but I need to tell someone (probably a therapist but you guys will do for now)..

I just walked into my local op shop. And saw a Wurlitzer 270. With a sold sticker on it.

Not happy.

It came in yesterday, and sold this morning. For a price that made me weep.

Did I say, not happy.

OK that's all.

My condolences.
I hate it when that happens.
Mind you, I have to count my blessings, I've had a few lucky breaks when it comes to aquiring gear over the years (ahem, decades..).

Yes of course, I've had my share of wins... its not so much the price though, just the fact that you never see these guys come up... and had I been out for a walk a couple hours earlier...

But it's OK, I'm ready to move on!

I pass on my condolences but I think you won the steal of the year Wez with a certain pair of speakers you got last year so this perhaps balances it out!

I thought they made jukeboxes and what could they possibly know about little black fake pianos.
I passed thinking $50 was a bit rich.

Oh and yep Dave the Opals certainly balance it out

I picked up a C3 and Leslie 122 from a Church in Western Sydney in about 1995 (when nobody thought Hammonds were worth anything anymore) for $500.00. And it's a rare blond one.
Sometimes you win.

For me, some of the 'ones that got away' were the really amazing deals that I got only to later on sell them.

OK this thread is really starting to depress me now.

my biggest one that got away where 2 Neve 16 ch Kelso's but them's the breaks, and there are more than enough bit's and bob's that didn't get away to keep me happy.
