i just bought one second hand literally 3 days ago. hard to come by! and I was looking for one for ages.

I've had 1 for about 2 years now, very useful comp, actually quite a forgiving comp too, you can really give it a fair amount of GR before it starts to get nasty even with a pretty fast attack time, I usually find myself using the old mode, sounds smoother to me, new mode can sound a touch thin on some things.
The % control on the linking is great too.
I usually find myself using it on the drum subgroup, or vocals and guitars. Still find myself using my Smart C2 on the stereo buss way more often though.

Yep, 2500 rocks. Takes a little while to get your head around, but once you get it it's very versatile.

Hi there,
I nearly (stoopidly) sold my API a couple of months ago !
Didn't end up with the Pheonix I wanted, but got a modded Manley Vari-mu as well.
Totally different beasts....love the smell of those tubes burning !
