Up for Sale, One unbranded Large Diaphragm Condensor. Has three polar patterns, Omni, Cardiod and Figure 8. Also has a 10db pad and a bass roll off. $150 including postage to anywhere in Aus. Pick up from Rivervale if in WA. PM me or call me, Alan, on 0402740792.

This mic is in perfect working and cosmetic condition and comes with a very good shock mount worth $50 alone, its own pop filter (attached to the mic) and a great lined wooden storage box. The pics here are from the original seller, I'll do my own over the weekend.

The mic itself has the Chinese brightness but surprisingly holds its own after a little EQ. I actually used this mic for Abbe May's vocals on the 'Devil And Abbe May' album and it sounded pretty good. That album was recorded totally live in the studio and I used this mic in figure 8 on vocals with another mic in figure 8 for the acoustic guitar she was playing as well. It did the job really well. To hear a song from that album, go to www.bergerkstudios.com and listen to the 5th song on the media player there.

I was going to send this mic over to Michael Joly from www.oktavamod.com to give the treatment to (he said it was an ideal candidate for his MJE-K47 mod) but I've just bought a BeezNeez valve mic instead.

Its an Alctron HSMC1400 (China) mic but its 'Nude' so there is no brand on it. Mic companies from around the world buy these mics bulk and add their own badge. This one probably came from a 'group buy' direct from the factory. I purchased this new from an ebay seller over a year ago.
