FS Ego Seeking Expressions of Interest

Postby mark rachelle » Tue Aug 10, 2010 11:49 am

I'm thinking about letting go of my muched loved EGO
and putting it up for sale
Not Sure what it is worth so I was wondering if there are any expressions of interest out there

Hi Spec Features include
Totally right All of the time,
and
If in doubt that you need to buy this then see above

ALSO
Hi Definition Conversation Converter - This Puppy has the ability to convert all conversations to a simple 4 channel output matrix
Output channels are
1. You are right,
2. They are wrong
3. You are Superior
4. They Are Inferior

Also a Dual Functionality Mode toolkit

Mode A, be loud, obnoxious, bully and dominate your world into submission
Mode B, Be quiet, submissive and withhold so you can sneak out and avoid any confrontation!

ALSO
A Great track record of many trauma's,
If you dig women at your feet in tears then this sucker is right for you

You will also be the proud owner of some major theme songs
1. the power Ballad "What About Me"
And 2. your life time theme song of "I Can't Get No (Satisfaction)

As an added bonus you also get the free Turd polisher function
Yes This thing can absolutely Turd polish any self doubt
Sure the self doubt will still be there, but you will believe that the world wont see you as small and pathetic

In fact you will never be vulnerable again! and I mean Never!

AND Because you will be special and the only one the world revolves around
you too will be able to prove that your story is special and that yes you were done wrong
and you have every reason to feel grieved and angry.

Come on Turtlerockers get in quick before I put this baby up on ebay

Is it discreet,........ and what mods have been done?

Rather than selling it have you thought about giving it away?

I would love to compare this in a shootout with my ego. Mine is really transparent.

Yes, but will it give me the T-Pain sound for my rap tracks?
Any samples of an A/B comparison with a Neve C8ooG Pultec?
I know a guy selling a similar ego heaps cheaper but he is in the US.

Will you consider trades? I have a really big lack of faith I have been looking to move.

My EGO is vintage.
Would be prepared to let it go for the right price, but can be really useful for live use onstage.

Self-deception is a process of denying or rationalizing away the relevance, significance, or importance of opposing evidence and logical argument. ...

People tend to hold overly favorable views of their abilities in many social and intellectual domains....This overestimation occurs, in part, because people who are unskilled in these domains suffer a dual burden: Not only do these people reach erroneous conclusions and make unfortunate choices, but their incompetence robs them of the metacognitive ability to realize it. --"Unskilled and Unaware of It: How Difficulties in Recognizing One's Own Incompetence Lead to Inflated Self-Assessments," by Justin Kruger and David Dunning Department of Psychology Cornell University, Journal of Personality and Social Psychology December 1999 Vol. 77, No. 6, 1121-1134.

Self-deception is the process or fact of misleading ourselves to accept as true or valid what is false or invalid. Self-deception, in short, is a way we justify false beliefs to ourselves.

Oh I don't bother with self deception at all, waste of time IMO. My ego is NOS.

I wonder If
"Unskilled and Unaware of It: How Difficulties in Recognizing One's Own Incompetence Lead to Inflated Self-Assessments," by Justin Kruger and David Dunning Department of Psychology Cornell University, Journal of Personality and Social Psychology December 1999 Vol. 77, No. 6, 1121-1134.

could possibly be written from output channels 3 and 4 ?

Definitley........without a doubt. Being written by a psychologist he would undoutably fall into the "I'm OK You're Not" category.
As this applies to audio production, and what i would describe for myself as my healthy ego, output channels 3 and 4 have everything to do with what I can do for " the home alone muso, the typical unskilled and unaware of it self recording, producing, navel gazing, computer recordist with a smattering of surface mount electronicly ballanced chinese manufactured post millenium outboard junk and playing, often miserably, inferiour sounding wannabe copies of the greatest guitars ever built none of which THEY, poor miserable blighters, have any idea of what these originals realy sound like. You, Mark and I are among the privelaged few who have everything to offer the afore mentioned miserables in order to facilitate the realization of their recording fantasies. I might add that this privalage is soley due to our superb combination of exeptional talent and recoursefulness combined with above average intelect, musical creativity, and bloody hard work.

Yeh I got one of these.
I was a beta tester.
My wife tells me I should get rid of it as we need the room.
Been trying to give it away for years.
I believe the new ones aren't much better.
Does anyone know if they can be recycled?
Good luck.

yeah but my ego was recapped with morphine based "auricaps" recently with my stay in hospital for kidney stones
and i was given a new fresh perspective on the amount of pain i can handle without jumping out a window ... what doesnt kill you only makes you stronger and all that

i am not taking expressions of interest for my ego as i have the unique position amonsts all of us of handling the original skyhooks mastertapes dozens of times over the years

ego is not a dirty word and all that :)

nice thread guys .. nice
