WTB : AMPLITUDE 2

Postby Vic » Tue Dec 01, 2015 2:12 pm

I have a project on the go that I am recording and mixing.

There is one song which has been demo'd by the band elsewhere and they want me to lift a sound effect off the original files. I have the demo project files, so I can access individual tracks, but the problem is there are 7 bass guitar stabs that have been treated with effects in Amplitude 2 that they want me to lift off the original recordings to put on the new recordings that i have engineered.

I don't have amplitude and I have tried to recreate with other plug ins that I have but because it is such an extreme, unique, special effect sound, it is going to be heaps easier for me to load in amplitude 2 so that Logic (I am working in protools but the demos have been given to me as logic files) can see the plug ins and I can then export the sound.

So, I've had a look and it seems that Amplitude is up to version 4 and is expensive, so I was wondering if anyone had Amplitude 2 lying around as this is the version that was used in the original demo's.

I wonder if Amplitude 2 will then have problems working in newer version of protools or operating systems.

Anyone out there able to help?

Thanks

Vic
