WANTED: AWA G51 faceplate / panel

Postby EvLoutonian » Sun Jul 31, 2016 12:57 am

Heya's

Unlikely, i'm guessing .. but does anybody happen to have an orphan faceplate, surplus to requirements, for the old AWA G51501 limiting amp? It's a 4RU panel, usually dark blue in colour.

I have one of these units, with the front panel missing in action. I have a VU "compression" meter which should work, and all the other parts, including pot's etc in place. I've been looking into making up a new panel from a blank, or getting one made and laser etched, or screen-printed, but figure it's worth asking around, in case there is indeed a spare one out there "floating around", or stashed in your back room gathering dust.

Cheers, and thanks!
Evan in VIC.

Be cool to get one made up, be good if you had an original meter for the new faceplate, I have two units if you wanted to come and take measurements etc ...
I'd be happy to help .
No spare faceplate though

Thanks Dave. Shall send you a PM.
I've never looked into laser engraving (nor screen printing), but figured it'd be worth trying to get a good job of it done. Even a good job by a decent hand engraver would be fine, really.
Or there's good old Dymo!
(-;

I actually saw cursive Dymo on something the other day! Looked great.
There must've been a special machine for that.
