Change of plans for Altecs. Haha!

Postby 13thbeach » Mon Jul 27, 2009 6:26 pm

Hi Guys,
Due to over spending on audio gear, I am now forced to sell something. I was going to sell the Altecs but Rick O'neil slapped me around and convinced me I
shouldn't. But somethings still gotta go. I'll probebly sell my racked Calrec channels so stay tunned.

So in place of the Altec photos is this nice stack of Iced vovo's.

Fell free to add picks of other iced vovo's, ...or any other cookie, biscut, ..etc.

Cheers.

I'll trade you one of my surplus wooden boats. Just needs a few planks replaced and she'll be as good as new.

Yeah! keep em coming.

Barney, thanks but i think i'll hold out for a better offer. Walding, your speaking my language, nice touch with the cat. Chris, I'll only consider your boat offer if the shitty bald tyre and empty beer bottle is thrown in.
Myles, ill call you about the rack phone, and .......i'm sure whatever she has, I don't want.

hmmm thats interesting Rick. I wasn't too sure what price to put on them. I figured rare vintage valve condencer etc....
I'm still not sure i want to sell, haha! I was tossing up the altecs or selling off my Calrecs. Maybe i should sell the Calrecs instead. (Calrec racked channels that is)

Hey Rick, I'm not sure those ones on ebay have the original powers supplies. I know there are different models but I have never seen those before.

(oh just read the ad - custom made power supplies)

me i would be selling the calrecs, err no i wouldnt , i would have never bought the calrecs
(whoops is that my outside voice talking )

if you assure me they work aok or money back ( 1 week trial) , i would pay the ebay hammer fall for the pair

bill bradley supplies and serviced and phone call to him had me understanding why his supplies are a better bet

You stirred up a distant memory and I went to my odd /dumb/I dont know mic box and there was a supurb coke bottle in its pristine box. I picked it up in a bulk buy for sweet f/a years ago. But putting this aside I do have 2 spare KM54.s available. I ended up with six and only require 4. All have been completly refurbished by Gunter. Regards Norm

Hi Rick, Sorry to sound a complete boar, however I have made the decision not to have any Neve equipment in my future studio. It seems everyone has one or more Neve pieces and I wanted to have a more esoteric selection available. For instance Mike Oldfield had two compressors by a company call Belcaman which were used on Tubular Bells, he has sold off his gear and I have one of those. The other went to Dave Gilmour and Mark from Funky Junk has the only other I know of. I also have the hand made compressor by Sean Davies which was used to record My Generation. Its the odd birds I like. Regards Norm
