Short time only sale!!! *****UPDATED*****

Postby 13thbeach » Tue Apr 06, 2010 1:14 am

No its not the Carpet Call short time only sale (which seemed to last the length of my entire childhood),
No this is much better because its not about carpet at all. Its actually about audio stuff I'm selling.
Some prices have been lowered...etc...etc...enjoy.

Rola 77 MKIII Valve Preamp (very clean example) $300
x8 MCI JH500 channel strips (with input and output transformers) $350 each

Hey Myles, come on mate for $200 you should know the answer to that.

Hi Ben, Yep its the same. They are really rare. It still needs to be modded but I have not had the time or dollars to do so.
Its in crazy new condition. I'll kick myself for letting it go i'm sure.

What did you buy??

It's not really brown is it? Just the wood grain and leather. I reckon if you replaced the leather armrest with something a little less '1970's strip club' you have a great looking console. I really dig the meter layout/proportion.

I actually like the brown 70's vibe with the console, but then again people who know me know its my style. Which is why I just bought a Quad Eight Pacifica....Very 70's YeeHaa!

let me get this right , i put a slur on your console because it was brown, and you ditch it and bought a WHITE console...?
are you on drugs ?..

you bought a white console..?

man i am never going to figure this audio thing out ...

ok and before you say "what about chris's (linear) AWA console..? thats white its great "

just ask chris how good the handfull of grey face plates that came with the console look .. and how many times he wished they all looked like that .. if he could flip the colour the colour of his console i am sure he would in a flash.

oh well at least the QE has real metal knobs , thats a aesthetic step forward
maybe you can dream about painting it :)

you upgraded to a white console ..?.. crazy talk i tell you... crazy talk

Nice choice with the pacifica Mat. Was that the one in Bali or was it local?

Just on the "brown console thing"- Brown consoles have more bottom end. Think about it.

Another classy 70's mix of brown studio furniture is the MCI 428 with a JH-24. Mmmmm brown heaven. And then put it all in a pinewood paneled studio. Total 70's.

Changing topic, what's the material on the studio walls in your pics?

Its not my studio. Those pics are from the guy who owned it before me. Looks great hey. I should have bought the roster as well.
Not sure what the material is though.

Yeah its the Bali one. Was a great price and how could I say no to the white...haha!

Should be shipping it within the next week or so..

I was going to ask you "how much for your @#$%"? But I thought that might be inappropriate forum behaviour and decided not too.

Well still not sure on the freight. I've shipped consoles internationally before and its not cheap. However this board should be cheaper due to the fact that the legs will be removed and packed with the frame reducing the size of the crate. I'm sure it'll still be somewhat pricey but we'll see.
