just ask chris how good the handfull of grey face plates that came with the console look .. and how many times he wished they all looked like that .. if he could flip the colour the colour of his console i am sure he would in a flash.

err, no he wouldn't. hate they grey look, much prefer the beige.

well that would the sound of me being wrong twice today !

the first time was much louder and involved a set of missing car keys and a wife running late

but its funny how people will do anything not to think they own a white console ...
beige..? chris ?
or does all that white you own just need a clean ?

i bet the quad eight becomes beige by next week as well :)

it's definitely not white. I have faceplates that have never seen the light of day (ie still wrapped up) and they are beige.

it's remarkably similar to the EMT beige, the Ampex MM1200 beige, and the quad eight beige.

beige must have been the in-thing in 1971!!

about some new products
my first response was "yes but the new stuff cannot be white "

they thought i was joking , months later they know i am serious..

There must be about 20 shades of beige and 100 of white, antique white is very popular these days if you're painting inside your house so I reckon you guys can't go wrong with light coloured consoles. Rick's just jealous. :)

Yeah, MM100's and 61's.

We just painted a room in our house China White.
Next to proper white it looks grey.

Back home (Europe) you almost never see a white car.
Here they are everywhere.
White is cool (in more ways than one) I guess.
