Selling Neve Kelso (16 channel)

Hi Guys,

After 10 beautiful years with my Kelso, it's time for us to part ways. I mostly work in the box now (workflow dictates this:)…), and I can't really justify holding on to her anymore.
She's real purdy, sounds golden, and will be a beautiful analog front-end/sidecar/?? addition to anyone's studio.
I bought this through Mixmasters back in 2004 and at the time had it rewired for 16 direct outs/phantom power on channels 1-8 by Rob at ProHarmonic. He did a great job. I've got all the paperwork, in case anyone needs to have that veified.
I'm in no real hurry to sell, but I thought I'd give T-Rockers first dibs and test the waters for what people are prepared to pay. Any decent (and I mean decent) offers will be considered)
The Neve weighs about the same as 3 decent sized anvils, so either local pickup, or we can organise some freight option. I'm in Sydney.

Keen to hear what the response is.

Cheers,

Andrew Covell

Hi guys, sorry about not getting back to all and sundry, it's been a killer week (the sort of week that makes me think "should I be doing this? Selling, that is…).

Anyway, there has been quite a response, so rest assured I'll be contacting everybody who's been kind enough to enquire. As I said originally, I'm in no real hurry to sell.

Now for the 64K (??!!) question. Emma Chizzit? Let's just say that I paid somewhere in the region of 1K/channel (it's 16 channels, remember?). That was 10 years ago, and the board has brought me a ton of business (esp repeat business) in that time.

I might drop a few more details, for anyone who can't find a schematic, probably tonight (mic pre's, routing options etc).

If anyone wants to pm me with an offer (and you're all correct, don't bother lowballing:)…) please don't hesitate. That's probably a more efficient method of getting in touch, I'm certainly not looking at TR every 5 minutes.

Cheers,

AC

If it helps anyone, I paid $30k for a Neve Melbourn about 7 years ago. They're the same pedigree & amazing boards.
Thanks again Rick.
