Still up for grabs is an API 500-6b Lunchbox, with a JLM Audio HPM500 6-channel mixer installed, plus custom aluminium Naut case. $750 AUD including postage to anywhere in Australia.


I've owned these modules and the lunchbox unit since new. They're in very good working condition with some minor cosmetic scratches (see pics), and have been used on recordings and live shows for Smashing Pumpkins, Wolfmother, Alanis Morissette, and many more. I've used the HPM500 in a number of contexts: as a single or multi-channel zero-latency headphone mixer for recording, as a front-end for my live looping setup, and as an audition path for live front-of-house mixing when using lunchbox preamps. The aluminum case was custom built by Naut cases.

Here's more info about the JLM HPM500 module:

Balanced mixer with switched panning, individual level control, six-inputs (hard-wired from API inputs, or can be over-ridden by separate 1/4" TRS inputs) and one stereo 1/4" TRS output . Has ribbon cable input that plugs into the JLM Buss connector mic pre EQ and compressor modules, or you can wire the ribbon cable to the back plane to the 6 XLR output pins 2 and 3 if not using JLM modules. Fits API-6B Lunchboxes in the wasted space beside the power supply and plugs into 10 IDC power ribbon cable for power for the internal power supply. High power modified hybrid output amps can drive even the most difficult headphones to clean maximum output level. Also HP output is perfect for sending a mix be recorded.
