I wanted to see if anyone has one of these old Yamaha rev 7 reverbs

One of my favourite producers Ryan Greene uses one and I like his work so I'm just curious to see if someone has one and wouldn't mind giving it a new home? I'm not sure how much they are.

Has anyone here used one? Thoughts?

you should be able to find one on ebay cheap enough
old PA companies arnt using them anymore!
great drum reverbs though... standard "yamaha" sound

The rev5 is a better verb IMHO.

well... if we are going to start.
the rev 5 has more options.
but i think the rev 7 sounds better.

i think its a subject dodgy enough (which old yamaha reverb is better) that this comment cant get any more flack.... the newer REV500 is excellent.
it maintains pretty well every program from the older REV series's
in a MUCH more easy to use format.
and its way newer with balanced IO etc and much less likely to be shit and dodgy and noisy.

if you just want a yamaha reverb sound
get a rev500
if you want something super specific, then you might have to go for one of the older ones.

i still have a 500 in my studio rack.
hard to pass up on snare.

My memory of the REV7 us too vague to have made that connection. But the REV500 does sound good and is super easy to program. One quirk though: if you pass signal to the left side you get reverb out the left side only; same with the right. Most earlier units (Yamaha, Roland, for example) seemed to sum L and R and generate reverb from that.

you can some the inputs as you mention!
its just in the setup menu thing
dont have one infront of me right now - but guarantee you it can be done as thats how mine was setup off a mono send on the neve
