I was looking last year but forgot to ask here but the prices were quite up there as audiofiles seem to be using them for their euphonic qaulities for hi fi systems. I ended up contacting cinemag and getting new tx's. If you find a surplus i'd be interested?

Dale, I would love the AWA output transformers if they are up for grabs - please PM me for cash or trade.

I've got some western electrics, lots of Trimax, some awa, a couple of triads, etc. what exactly do you need them for and how large do you want to go?

Bumping this again.
I didn't hear back from you Myles.
Specifically looking for a pair of Western Electric 111C transformers.
Let me know if you have a pair or any local leads. Cheers

Sorry Ben, this totally slipped my mind! I've got at least 1 pair of 111c transformers, might have two pairs. You do know that they are quite large and heavy right?

What are you working on there, Ben?
Building a big line device thingy doo-hicky of some sort?

Hey Ev
Yeah doing a stereo line doo-daddy device for busses. Trying to knock some of that digital sheen of the top.
Will have a variable impedance do-dangle too so I can change colour of the top end a bit more.
Hoping it also adds a bit of thumpy crunch also.

Hi Ben, if you are looking to add colour and slow down transients, maybe some smaller transformers would be worth trying. Like the ones in the attached file. Some of these may look familiar to DIYer's and mic pre amp kit builders.
Cheers, Paul
