Hi, I'm looking for an 8 channel pre for drums. Would these work well with drums?

I don't know much about Jensons. Any pics?

These aren't Jensons, they are a custom circuit by Deane Jensen of Jensen transformers fame. He built 3 or 4 consoles one of which was racked in to modules for Indigo Ranch. I bought one of the racks from Indigo Ranch when they were having a massive sell off 10 years back and then a few year later one of the consoles came up for sale as a hacked up mess on ebay. I bought that and had the seller remove all the eq and mic pre boards. I racked up some of them and sold the remaining modules off. These are 8 mic pre modules from that board. Rob did the racking so I don't know if he altered the circuit but it is a very simple opamp circuit with a rare and fantastic jensen transformer on the front end. These are excellent, clean, preamps with an interesting pedigree. Cheaper than any quality 8ch pre I can think of...

Thanks Myles. That's great to know. I have committed to buying these, Just waiting for a postage price. Sounds like just what I need.

Be great if Rob could chime in with any further information about the racking.

I have the circuit if Rob doesn't chime in with any changes.

Rick, I bought these directly from Jeremy. They turned up this morning. I have no idea why Angus was selling them as well. I spoke to Khscrow and he was selling them on behalf of Jeremy.

right , well i read somewhere angus selling them as his claiming that he got them is a trade with bunch of vintage stuff had rob rack them and the price he wanted was less then they cost ,.. thats all his business maybe there are more then one rack , him and Jeremy are good mates so i have no issues .

I just didn't want to find out there was sneakiness going on around here .

Hi Rick the spelling of my name is Khesrow Rasta i have been here for years,that's why you didn't find me . I was selling the pre's on be half of Jeremy. He is not that great with the internet. I have been trying to sell the pre's for a while now so i guess Jeremy got Angus on board to sell them at the same time as me. All Good.

To supplement the story...Angus originally sold the Pres ( that were racked by Rob) to Jeremy for $4.5k (!)
Jeremy had had them a couple of years and now wanted to sell them.
They have been on the market for 3 months or so..Khesrow said to Jeremy he'd sell them for him.
After no serious bites, and the subsequent price drop with no sale...Angus thought he could sell them using his online "network" and adding his " sellers fee" (!)

Khesrow sold them to Pete ( thanks Pete..I was thinking of them myself) but Angus was unaware.
