i have three of these available
the do NOT work with OS10 or above (hence me selling now)

if you are running an older mac pro and still on an older operating system - these cards are an awesome speed boost for your copying/ backups/ etc

i have 3 available
$50 each

please email rather than PM gareth AT gigpiglet.com.au

no one running a mac tower not on 10.10?
surely?
one of these cards will pay for itself on its first use... a 1hour copy becomes less than 30mins..

Gareth,
Nope, I was running a good few of bands/other artists through the studio when I was back in wollongong, but keeping all studio time to myself and my own project at the moment. It's only a home studio anyway, nothing that is making me money besides songwriting royalties (hopefully more, soon!).
Whenever I do external work - mainly mixing, some session guitar/vox - it's usually via dropbox.

THAT SAID. I may have to grab one of these from you for a backup solution - I don't like having all my backups in the same place (you know, in case the house burns down, etc...). Thinking of a cloud scenario but not sure about it either... hmmmmmmm

It's actually f*cking frustrating to be honest. Most sessions we're working on these days are 88.2 or 96 from the get go, thus voices are usually taken up before I can even get stuck into mixing.

Really gotta either:
a - find a chassis
b - start down mixing to 48k
c - go HDX
d - quit and go fishing for a living

i like option D
