Hey I have one of these that I don't really use anymore, even though they're awesome - the master section on the SSL X-Desk is pretty good, and it seems like overkill to have a second dedicated monitor section set up.

Make me an offer I guess? Also where are you located?

Thanks for reply, I've been advised against these now, I guess I need to go back to the drawing board.

Can I ask why? They're pretty awesome. I used mine for several years and never had a single issue, nor ever really "heard" it at all, if you know what I mean. I'd still be using it if I hadn't got the X-Desk.

Functionality looks ideal though. But after he said that I found similar comments online

Better than mine too, I thought my SPL was great! But I sold mine to fund a custom built one and that's excellent and got all the functions I needed.

Ok cool, good to get some more feedback, it certainly looks very functional.
As you can imagine, being warned off a bit of gear is quite a curve ball

dave be aware that there might be all kinds of reasons that something didnt suit someone else (sometimes thats exactly why it will suit you!)
id be wary of writing of a piece of otherwise good gear based on hear-say.
maybe they changed their room around when they installed it and anything was destined to sound bad?
or maybe they auditioned it for a week while their kid was teething and they hadnt been getting enough sleep and couldnt concentrate?

you get my point, and ive never used the bit of kit in question, but thought it worth mentioning.

Yep I agree, I hadn't given much thought until I got a fairly hefty warning against them, then read a bit more..
I usually ignore such things but I have to take it into consideration. Now I feel guilty for clogging the forum up with this...
