This unit comes complete with all original packaging and manual. It offers true tube in / tube out design.
The MP-1 runs 6NI-P and EF86 tubes with a Jensen input transformer on the front-end and a huge whopping Mercury Magnetics custom-wound output transformer, which yields stunning sound quality with serious bass response and a warm, airy top end typical of great tube mic pres. This is the early version which sports 46dB of gain.
The MP-1 with its fixed-gain amplifier/output attenuator combo performs with a very high degree of consistency, delivering “the magic” across a much greater range of input signals.
Sounds fantastic for smooth vocals or for a bigger Bass Guitar sound.
Due to cost of making the MP1 it has been deleted in favour of making the $4000 MP-2A dual channel unit.
